About W4WE

Women for Women’s Empowerment (W4WE) is a leading charity dedicated to empowering women by tackling hygiene poverty in local communities. Through our Hygiene Bank initiative, we provide essential hygiene products to women and families in need, supporting their dignity, health, and well-being.

The Role

We are seeking dedicated Project Volunteers to support our W4WE Hygiene Bank Project Coordinator in running successful projects within the local community. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience, develop new skills, and make a tangible impact in your area. With the potential to transition into a permanent role, this position is ideal for individuals passionate about community service and women’s empowerment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Project Coordination: Assist the Project Coordinator in setting up and managing Hygiene Bank projects, including logistics, administration, and community outreach.
  • Collection and Distribution: Help set up collection points, gather and sort donations, and distribute hygiene products to local community partners.
  • Specialised Roles: Take on specific responsibilities such as managing social media, organising fundraising events, or handling administrative tasks, depending on your interests and skills.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with local partners, participate in charity meetings, and help raise awareness of hygiene poverty through various outreach activities.
  • Administrative Support (Virtual): Log collections and distributions, contact community partners to identify their needs, and help with data entry and other administrative duties.

Roles You May Choose to Focus On

  • Collecting & Distributing: Regularly collect items from drop-off points, weigh and pack products, and distribute them to Community Partners.
  • Fundraising: Assist in organising local fundraising events, apply for local funding, and research grant opportunities with the guidance of our Fundraising Team.
  • Social Media Management: Set up and manage project social media pages, create engaging content, and share updates to promote the project and raise awareness.
